Sorry it's been so long since I posted! My guinea pig, Daisy, unexpectedly had pups and they've been keeping us quite busy! Here's a picture of the little buggers at about a week old. Aren't they cute? From L to R, it's Rosie, Sage, Iris, and Walnut. Walnut has been adopted and we decided to keep Rosie (... and maybe Sage), but Iris needs a new home! Any takers?
I've been working a lot on personal knitting projects the past few weeks, too. Wanna see?
First up is a shawl I'm knitting to wear to my cousin's wedding in early August. The pattern is Seascape Stole and it's beautiful! Unfortunately, I woke up this morning to Logan - my pup - chewing the cable for my needle, and he chewed through some yarn as well. I hope I can fix it, because there's about 30 hours of work into it already, and another 50 to go.
I have about 20 more rows done than are shown here. As for it being ruined, did I put a lifeline in so I can just go back to that? Nope. It was on my to do list first thing this morning. =(
I'm also working on an Oiseau de Feu scarf; another fantastic pattern. The yarn I have is a creamy white, but I'll be dying it spruce (from Knitpicks) once I'm all done with it. It's going to be my plane project when we're flying to Baltimore in a few weeks! The yarn is Bristol Yarns Gallery Buckingham, a 4-ply silk/Alpaca yarn -- super soft and I love knitting with it!
Last is a felted purse for my Etsy shop - it's almost done ... I just have to attach the handle, lining, and clasp. What do you think?
